"I knew exactly how I wanted my wedding. I had a clear picture from day one and was determined to plan the perfect day. Rachel listenned to my brief and also gave me good advice and ideas. I am very fussy but was thrilled with the job she did. Thanks again Rachel, the flowers made my day and people still comment on how great they were."
Venue – Ham House Richmond Surrey
Natasha knew exactly what sort of wedding she wanted. Classic, sophisticated and elegant were all words that surfaced during our initial meeting. Natasha works in the media and knows how to plan an event, I always knew her wedding would be well put together and planned to perfection, down to the tiniest detail.
Her wedding was to be held at Ham House in Richmond. A National Trust House that is beautiful and breathtaking. A perfect choice of venue for Natasha and Richard.
Natasha chose to have a single maid of honour to follow her down the aisle. Her theme colours for the day were cream and lilac. Natasha’s look was elegant and chic, a strapless fitted full length dress with minimal beading and embroidery. A chiffon veil completed the bridal outfit. Natasha always knew she wanted a simple, classic bouquet nothing too fussy. Less is more we decided.
The bouquet was simply a handtied of cream gerberras/daisys. Framed with looped aspidistra leaves and scattered with cream sparkling crystals, vintage lace satin ribbon bound the bouquet together. The bridesmaid carried the same style bouquet, although it was lilac and consisted of calla lillies and roses. The mother of the bride loved her matching corsage! As did the father of the bride and ushers.
The reception was held in a beautiful open room with lots of light. The bride was lucky with the weather and the doors opened out onto a courtyard where drinks were also served.
The chairs were all covered in cream fabric with simple, elegant bows on the back of each. A simple quartet played throughout dinner. The flowers needed to be as sophisticated and charming as the rest of the day and compliment the event. Together we chose simple tall glass vases and chose to tie flowers and foliage to sit in the vase. The tables alternated lilac and cream arrangements. The cream flowers consisted of calla lillies small and large gerberras (as per the brides bouquet) and simple white roses. We chose purple alliums, calla lillies and roses for the lilac displays, in both arrangements hand picked beads were mingled amongst the flowers. Height was important in the aarangements as Natasha wanted the wow factor. The top table consisted of four vases of the cream arrangements, although the calla lillies were larger for this table. Rose petals were scattered around the tables for a romantic and dreamy feel and scented tea lights were lit.
The arrangements were all framed with exotic fliage, that conveyed a slightly tropical, luxurious feel. Beads and crystals also adorned every hand tied bouquet. The overall effect was stunning. Elegant, chic, sophisticated a day to remember.
